The risks of homologous blood transfusion are well known. Very often there is a lack of donated blood and the available blood stocks should be dedicated to accidents and occasions when there are no alternatives available.

The use of autologous blood is applicable at predonation, haemodilution, intra-operative and post-operative autotransfusion.

Bellovac® ABT is intended for autologous transfusion of the patient’s own blood collected after surgery.
